Done and dusted ....
......Christmas Day that is ! We had just walked in the door when the phone dinged for our FaceTime with our families in Townsville and Wellington. Lexi was on fire as she opened our parcels, a spoilt little girl by the stacks of goodies spread over their living room floor.
My blip is a collage of some of the photos taken at our friends, Sheryl put on an exceptional meal. Arriving at midday, with a pink gin/wines we started with my tray of a variety of yummy hors d’oeuvres; next was entree of prawns and/or chicken served with a satay sauce (delish). Some time passed before the main was served - stuffed pork with bacon rolls, fresh from the garden potatoes, peas and carrots, a crunchy green salad and roasted carrots. Superb. For desert berries, with a ice cream sandwiched between a homemade biscuit drizzled with cranberries and chocolate. Wow! Then, just in case we weren’t satisfied, a coffee or tea with Christmas cake and my Gourmet Rocky Road. There was even an non alcoholic Shiraz for Doug (he was advised by his surgeon some years back not to drink alcohol)
We finished eating at 5.30....what you would call and extended lunch. Just the four of us we really had such a fun time.....the home made crackers were a hoot, with little challengers inside.
Finishing the day with the three way FaceTime was perfect.
