Frosty
Our first night back home together......we slept ok, but both woke regularly. Hub is so glad to be home, appreciating the little things like waking up to a bright blue sky and frost on the ground this morning.
We had breakfast in bed, porridge, followed by toast for hub....hes determined to gain some weight! Ham & picallili sandwich and crisps for lunch, followed by a roast chicken dinner with pigs in blankets mid afternoon. Dessert was bread & butter pudding after a breather......and hes just had a chicken sandwich too!!
A lovely District Nurse called at 9.40 this morning to give hub an injection. We got ourselves going after that, showers, dressed, nails trimmed...and it was going to be a haircut, hub wants it short as it is startingbto come out, only I couldn't find my scissors, so thats a job for tomorrow now.
We have watched a bit of tv. here and there.....facetimed daughter, exchanged messages with sons and sis's, hubs not really feeling like a lot of chit chat at the moment, one day at a time......slowly does it. We did go out in the garden for 10 minutes, well wrapped up, just to get some fresh air, hub did a few steps around the patio.
This snowman is one we bought a couple of uears ago from Bents Garden Centre, we really like him, especially when he is all lit up, with his glitter snow swirling, as he changes colour.
Its been an emotional sort of day for many reasons, happy to be home, sad not to be seeing family and friends.....and still the rollercoaster of coming to terms with our lot, whilst trying to be brave and positive at the same time,
Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas blip friends wherever you are and to thank you for your kind words and support lately, it really helps xx
