Zimbabwean Pea-Hen

This stone bird we bought at an art exhibition by a young Zimbabwean artist when the exhibition came to the local area. It is very solid and very heavy, and we could never have brought it back by plane if we had bought it in Africa! We liked its expression of superiority. We are not sure of the stone, but it must be some sort of conglomerate - possibly volcanic. He is a nice companion to have around!
