Windmill 'Laurentia', Milheeze

VROLIJK KERSTFEEST!  MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Today also marks Lockdown Day 11.  Is that cause for celebration?  Haha!

'Milheeze' sounds like 'MilHAZE' but then with 3 syllables = 'Mil-HAZE-uh'.

As you can see, we drove together on the hunt today.  Can you spot him? He wanted to get there via Helmond and Bakel, I wanted to use the Liessel-Deurne route.  There was much confusion and some irritation, but it was relatively easy to find once we were in the vicinity.  Fab weather!  And not too cold, too.

Started the day on the grumpy side, very un-Christmassy of me.  Poor AW.  I gave him loads of hugs afterwards.  When we got back from the hunt, the rest of the day went easily.  No Zooming with family, no Christmas buffet, so an ordinary day.  We've never had the 'tradition' of the kids coming over or we being allowed to go to them, so we will wait for a suitable time for those things, plus we're being careful with the virus floating around unseen.  Funny how COVID-19 can be an excuse for some folks not to see each other.  We're okay and they're okay, and we're focusing on that.

While we've never made a 'big deal' about today, though, we do look forward to the New Year, fireworks or not.  That is the day when the wine will flow while we're awake, and there'll be goodies on the table the whole day, too, and candles and colours and stuff.

I can see from your posts that you've all been enjoying yourselves!  Good for you!  For many, though, there'll be an empty seat at the table... I wonder how they're faring.  We'll keep beating the Grim Reaper at his own game, yea?
