Early light at Fradley Pool

Storm forecast with lots of rain so I headed out quite early to walk round the pool.

I did two laps ( with lots of interesting pauses to appreciate the wildlife.)

The heron was on the barrier on the boardwalk but flew off as I approached.

Long tailed tits were there in force but they’re hard to capture on camera.

I was treated to a truly magnificent fly past from the Fradley kingfisher. He emerged from the north of the pool and flew low and sparkly blue right to the far side. I was mesmerised. So, no photo. Just awesome......
