Day 278 A very different Christmas

This is my second hasty backblip today (actually Boxing Day) as I try to catch up!


This is without doubt my  Christmas table set for the smallest number in many a year, but we still did our best to make it look festive.  The icing of the Christmas cake did not go smoothly (runny icing was the culprit) and so the decoration is once again just the same figures that have come out for the past two years with the addition of a snowman and extra reindeer.  We did manage the full turkey dinner but the three of us who actually like Christmas pudding decided that we were too full to eat any more so it can be stored away for another year.
In the end we didn't have a Zoom meeting with anyone but Mr MC was able to phone his sister who lives in Sydney to wish her a happy Christmas.  The fitter members of our household went for a very cold walk just as dusk was falling.  I was not in that number.
I do hope that you have all been able to have as joyous a day as was possible in these strange and difficult times.
