.......cold, wet and a mostly miserable day out so I’ve stayed in!

A quiet peaceful Christmas day although the dog was very excited at present opening time...she’s still wearing the party hat eldest tricked her into yesterday lunchtime. Panic stations about 12.30pm when I realised I’d forgotten to make the trifle for dessert...hurriedly threw one together and we had it last night. Delighted with the Christmas cake though, the best gluten free one I’ve ever had...worth the effort! My brother has suggested a Christmas cake bake off next year with Mum as judge...she could get very tipsy that day!

The devilish duo seem to have taken up home in the new toy box...which I fear won’t be big enough after the boys next visit (whenever that may be) when they plan to spread the little ones toys around as they’re running rapidly out of space at home! We had a FaceTime as he opened some presents...of course he was more interested in the paper and chewing labels than the contents!
