The day after Christmas, on our patio
All I can say is that my heart is bursting with love. We had about an hour with the two families who live through the woods. My only sibling, my brother, sister-in-law and nephew and my niece, her husband, Nora and Hunter. The temperature was just about freezing, with the sun ready to go down. We had a fire in our fire pit, lit the last Advent candle and drank champagne together. Masked and chilly we exchanged our gifts. It made up for missing being inside with them at Sarah and David's yesterday.
I always put our gifts in cloth bags. This year I made tags with their photos attached. They were a hit with everyone, especially Nora and Hunter. I used some from the past, from my vast archives for my brother and sister-in-law which added to the laughs. Hunty was cold and the sun was going down, but it was perfect. Hopefully, we can do the same with our other families on T's side soon. If the weather holds and everyone stays healthy. We have so much to be thankful for.
For the Record,
This day came in cold and clear. We have no snow on the ground after the wild rain and warm temps on Christmas.
All hands wary.
