Little notes.
Kirkintilloch Baptist church is 126 this week. Not all these years have been spent in the Big Green building, that you can't miss in Kirkintilloch. There was a party - there was cake and juice and party games and colouring in and anagrams of Scottish towns that were VERY HARD (but I'd like a copy of the sheet and answers) and...... and......... And Keynotes (children's choir) singing.
And there was a construction competition. Using only the stuff on the table, each group had to make a reconstruction of a Scottish Landmark. Our table of people, several thousand small girls squealing about winning points and wanting to be first, chose to construct the Forth Rail bridge. you know, the one with the distinctive shapes My pictures of this catastrophe enterprise was filled more with blurry small people, than a proper look at the mechanical wonder which was helped a long by one of the Ministers. (does that count as divine intervention?)
Wasn't able to stay to the end. I'd been promised dinner out. Sadly that didn't materialise. So in a "cheering self up" move, I made Croissants. Now it's time to catch up on Death in Paradise before it finishes on iPlayer.
In other news: Boots Garlic pills DO in fact TASTE of Garlic and DO make your breath stink. Eileen - are you reading this !??!!?
