Bello's new shed
Too long a story to repeat but a most strange situation with the erection of a new storage shed for one of the village's most notable characters and often referred to in my journal.
Quite how anyone got planning permission to build here on flood prone land is beyond me & if there is anyone in the village who has suitable unused buildings then it is Bello. And I don't think it's a case of money or connections simply laziness & wanting to keep the peace.
The building is probably the closest one to our property. When we heard there was going to be a building, I assumed it was one of the farmers building a new cow shed to get out of village centre crammed, dark, cows tied up, unit to a modern organic one where the girls could at least walk around & even in summer graze on meadows. So was quite happy. Only months later did I hear its actual use.
A storage shed for sawn wood, a business Bello started years ago & that his very pleasant son is continuing. They act as middlemen buying the sawn wood from the local mills and selling it onto other businesses. There is no public visiting or shop. Harmless, good business. Have no objections whatsoever as such but why break fresh meadow to do this when 100 m away they have a huge 1990s built monster of a two-storey building that has never been used?
Anyway after months of doing the foundations & letting them dry & set, now the wooden building parts have arrived & the roof parts can be seen lying on the ground.
