Red and white spheres

A day of contrasts. There were a few bright intervals this morning so I decided to go out for a short walk after photographing the holly tree. I hadn't gone far before the hailstones came but fortunately they didn't last long. While walking, I unintentionally disturbed an owl from its roost and it made a very fast, silent getaway; a lovely sight. Then I came across the very elegant fungus in the extra. Unlike the owl, it stayed still while I photographed it. I even managed a little bit of gardening in the early afternoon before the rain came in once again.
