A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

Sunrise and Smuggling

A decidedly painted sunrise heralded a 'different' Christmas day for us.  Just so unreal just being the two of us here.

Family tradition has it that the children open their 'stocking' (silly, little) presents on our bed before we all get up.  (This worked fine 25 years ago - it's just a bit more of a squeeze now).  Well, Covid wasn't going to stop that so yes, we zoomed in bed(s).

J was feeling somewhat left out as his parcel (containing said stocking) had fallen off the postal tracking radar somewhere east of Felixstowe - I'd even started to fill in the lost parcel claim form as it's been a couple of weeks in transit. (It has since reappeared on the Dutch postal tracking system).  His parcel to us has had an interesting passage by the look of it - with the Home Office Border Control sticking its nose into our board game.

Yes it's a box of exotic animals. No, they're cardboard, not live ones...

The rest of the day was a bit more run-of-the-mill with a walk up the hills and a screened visit to A.

Respectable sunset to end the day with and we chilled out with the newly gained Yesterday - a delightful plotless couple of hours of entertainment.

Oh - the flurry of comments indicates I've ballooned.  Bother, I usually hold off some blips to get that [correctly] to Dec 31st :o)
