Coffee Meet-up

I didn't sleep very well last night :((  Too many thoughts about the disruption that the repair of this leak is going to cause.

We were ready when two guys came in the morning to fix the leak. Fortunately, switching the water off at the mains finally made it stop and the floor was dry. It's definitely water from the heater that is leaking. We discussed two options for the work. One requires replacing the bathtub, the other two walls of tiles at waist level. The latter is a two-day job, the first longer. I figured that whilst they are doing this, I should finally mention the other things that need to be fixed/replaced. It's the first time in eight and a half years that they're doing major work in this flat.

Their foreman came and asked for two hours whilst they source tiles that match what's there, so off they went. Nara came for his usual Sunday stint but this time, we stayed in. We got a few extra things done, like putting pigeon spikes on an A/c unit!

We waited and waited so I decided to call to find out what's happening. It turns out they're not coming back at all today but didn't think it necessary to let me know! I'd already had to cancel a coffee date in the morning and then G had a request by someone else to meet up. Fortunately, she was available at very short notice, so we drove over to Festival City and ended up chatting for three hours!

Plans had to change fast but we did manage a few pictures. This one in the red bauble was special. We had a quick dinner in IKEA, a quick shop in Carrefour and drove straight home. G found the movie "Tangled" on one of the channels. I haven't seen it in ages. Nice to watch it again!
