Noisy mynah in grevillea
Sydney Park Community Garden links sustainable farming and nature. It grows a mixture of food crops and native plants grown together to attract insects for pollination and keeping down pest species. The produce is donated to a local asylum seeker centre.
The native trees provide food for native birds which in turn play a role in pollination and seed dispersal. The main is of a noisy mynah getting its nectar fix from a grevillea flower.
Sydney Park also has extensive wetlands which recycle water and provide breeding grounds for a variety of native birds. The extras show a friendship between a pelican and a cormorant who are perched on water recycling technology.
Thanks for hosting Carolinav. Stay well all.
