Frosty morning

Still no snow, despite a couple of sleety showers later yesterday. A bitterly cold morning which saw me scraping away at the car for ages. The patterns on the windscreen from the drivers seat were so complex, and I loved the blue swirls on the car’s bonnet. Filled up with petrol at the supermarket, (for the first time since September), shopped for ourselves and E and back home to read the remains of the Sunday papers, and eat the remains of our very small, delicious Christmas cake.
Headline in The Herald (at the filling station) suggests we should be wearing masks outside. I do on occasion but nevertheless I am disconcerted by this advice, just what is the nature of the mutant virus’ infectivity and load?
Solace to be found in baked potatoes for supper.
