Feeding frenzy

We have at least a dozen Blackbirds feeding on apples, and many Blue Tits feeding on fat balls, at the front of the house. At the back we have dozens of Sparrows, and many other birds, using the feeders, which are filled every day. Sometimes Gordon spreads food on the table and there is an immediate rush to pick up bits. Here is a Chaffinch seeing what is left on the frost covered table. 

A lovely day, after the early frost. Lots of people in the village setting off walking. We decided it was not the day to go to any popular place.
