Swedes
To be correct Swedish Flower chickens that my daughter has in Ireland. The Government has announced a chicken lockdown due to bird flu, and so they are trying to build larger indoor runs. Normally the girls are outside all day.
I have heard of cases in Germany and the UK but not yet heard of any lockdown here. Luckily we have a very large glassed winter garden that fulfils German requirements - chickens must not be able to come into contact with rain water (or sh*t from overflying birds) and wild birds must not be able to fly through any netting/fencing and be in contact with the chickens.
We don't need yet another virus - swine virus is also around in Germany!
