Snow!

Further inland (and right across the Midlands) there was a lot more snow but we were quite happy with the views from town this morning.   So much so that we had to go and take a closer look this afternoon, a stroll along country lanes soaking up the glory of winter.    

A set of extra pics - The sun, which had been lighting the snowy peaks when we stopped at Dysinni Bridge, was largely hidden by a bank of cloud out to sea while we walked but occasionally slight gaps in the clouds allowed thin shafts of light through, often to dramatic effect.   As we rounded Bird Rock we spotted the moon rising behind the snowy slops of Cader Idris.   (I rued the dead battery in my DSLR - all but one pic is from the phone.)   It was almost dark when we got back to the car.   A super afternoon out!
