Otter

One of our favourite gifts received this Christmas is this glass picture of an otter. 

It was made by our talented friend Up North, as a reminder of the time when, by complete coincidence, she and her partner stayed with us the night after our trail camera picked up an otter visiting our tiny pond.. We had been uncertain of its identity but, being vets, they were able to confirm the sighting. In fact we had better sightings later that year, and the following year but not since then.

She also sent another tree decoration, this time of a penguin wearing a face mask - let no-one say she does not have a sense of humour!
