Day 281The bird feeders are finally refilled!

Mr MC kindly restocked the peanut feeders and put out some other suet treats for the birds today.  I'm currently finding the steps to our  garden rather challenging so the birds have waited quite a while for this.  The robins of course like to stand to feed, rather than cling on, so this little visitor hopped onto a branch so slender that really it is a twig, to enjoy his treat.  The solar light slightly spoils the image and Mr MC did remove it later on, but by then feeding time was over.

In other news: today 41,385 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the UK, a horrible new record, just about a  year after China reported the novel coronavirus to WHO.  A member of our extended family remains in ICU on a ventilator having caught the infection a week or so ago, an awful and distressing time for her immediate family.
