First real snow of the winter.

We never had any snow last winter, here at least.
January was quite mild at times and I took a photo of the first clump of snowdrops I spotted on a walk, on January 6th this year.
Our road is white as there as there are not many cars going anywhere this morning. 
Just at this moment the flakes are swirling down thick and fast. 
It looks pretty and there have been a handful of parents with excited young children passing by, making snowballs as they go. 
      It is forecast to clear a little later..........
A dad has just gone by pulling his little boy along on a sledge. 
They are hoping that it keeps on snowing at least!
