Barn Owl

I had been feeling dizzy and nauseous this morning so stayed in bed until the middle of the afternoon when I felt better.
I was keen to get out in nature before it got dark . I went to Castle corner and walked through Castle Woods and along the Merse at Caerlaverock just before sunset.
As it got darker this beautiful barn owl flew out from the woods and across the merse hunting. It was such a wonderful experience. ( I had sponsored an owl called Rose with the Barn Owl Trust for my partner’s Christmas present).
