D thought he would like to do his daily "sitting" (his word for meditation) under a tree halfway up the hill, so I set off with him, intending to walk to the top while he sat there. It's the same hill as yesterday. still looking lovely in the snow.

I took this photo as he was settling down. He had brought a mat so is not sitting on the snow!

After I had left him, I changed my mind about going to the top, and instead I followed the wall you can see behind D until I found a way over it, and then visited the Communion Stones (see extra). It was very quiet here and  I took a while to think about the Covenanters and what it must have felt like to fear for their lives.
