The long road home!

We only meant to go out for a short stroll but we’d always wondered where a little side-path just past this bridge went so decided to find out.

It went... through a muddy field, down a sharp drop, past several lakes, turned into a stream at one point, then up a steep hill, ended up on the main road for a bit, then took us down the private road where all the local millionaires live, popped out by the monastery then, after walking almost ten kilometres, we were home.

Not bad for what we thought was a short-cut!
