A Final Moment of Calm Reflection
This 'Betwixtmas' (between Xmas and New Year) is beginning to feel a bit like "Groundhog Day'. We have had Boxing Day, but now it is 'Boxing Day Bank Holiday'. Not only that but we have the same weather as yesterday - damp and overcast but clearing and, most importantly, staying dry following the flooding caused by Storm Bella.
What's more we did the same walks as yesterday; the first around town in the grey morning, and the second around Ardington and Lockinge in the less grey afternoon. However to be radical, we went anti-clockwise rather than clockwise today.
I have taken this image of the boathouse before, in May, with richer greens and blues (extra photo); but this will be the last view for 2020, so I wanted to capture it again, as a calm idyll - "an extremely happy, peaceful, or picturesque period or situation" - to return to in the future.
Back to routine tomorrow - one day at a time!!!
