There’s snow place like home .....

Here we go again. A frosty snow covered start this morning. And a shortage of staff as one on a week’s holiday and one texted to say he couldn’t make it , 10 minutes after start time , so I had kind of worked it out already !
Managed to get everything fed by dinner time so spent the afternoon hauling more slurry from the slatted shed up to the slurry tower .
Another cow calved tonight , one of the ones I shut into the shed last week. Hopefully the calf has sucked as mummy was a wee touch over protective .
My old collie is still hanging on. She can manage to wander from her bed outside for a pee, but looks like she is drunk. Can’t get her to eat any thing though. She can still manage a wee tail wag when she sees me though. Will see what happens .
The snow this morning can be seen from here into Fife and the hills up to Perth looked white . Hopefully we won’t get too much more.
