Made it to Liverpool!
I wasn't sure how far I'd get (or even if I'd get up at 4.00 a.m. to get the 6.26 a.m. train!) with my 'travel anywhere on the London-Midland for £15' offer today. I made it up to Euston station on time, rather bleary eyed, but on a very empty bus, with no thieves, rogues or vagabonds travelling alongside me, thank the Lord!
I passed through Northampton and Lichfield, both places I used to live, but travelled up as far as I could go, to Liverpool. I got there quite early, just after 10.00, so had a good eight hours wandering around Liverpool, along the Mersey, as far as Dingle (I think?) and back, then around the city, cathedral etc. I wish I'd booked to see the 'Glam' exhibition at the Tate, it looked rather good, but those eight hours went by incredibly quickly and (as I think I said on my visit there last time in the Autumn..I absolutely love Liverpool!
I was extremely tired on the long journey home and can hardly keep my eyes open today! (Sunday). I will catch up with your blips later.
