Getting away from it all

Coming back from Stoney Cove Pike this morning.  Sca Fell in the distance.  It was the coldest day this winter but with little wind and there was warmth in the sunshine.

Kirkstone was very busy with lots of families sledging on the thin snow cover and frozen grass.  The Lakes should be quieter from tomorrow onward but at least people have been able to enjoy a few days of sunshine and snow to brighten up the end of the year.
