What A Lovely Day
Flipping cold though.
It was -5C when I was coming back from the shops first thing.
It didn't get much better all day either.
I did attempt to do a bit of turning after lunch but got about 5 minutes before my neighbours appeared to thank me for the gifts I gave them. They then went on to tell me about her step father (87) who stays in Scunthorpe who had fallen in his house. His neighbour, who gets his shopping and has a key for emergencies had noticed the shopping hadn't been taken in and the bolts were on inside the door. He phoned Liz who tried phoning the police who made a complete cock up who tried to refuse to attend because it wasn't known if he was in or if it was a suspicious death so asked for an ambulance to go instead !!!!!! After 2 1/2 hours they she got a call to say they were at the house and had been joined by the ambulance ........ could they get permission to force entry?
Morons!
He was taken to hospital and given a Covid test ........... negative.
2 days later he tested positive.
He hasn't been outside in years so one of the emergency services has given him it.
Further to that - Liz was told today by the ward he was doing fine and had had breakfast and was being discharged......... He isn't - he isn't in that ward because he had to be moved to a Covid ward yesterday and there is no way on God's earth that he is well enough to be discharged.
The doctor got his head in his hands and legal requirements and all sorts thrown at him (Liz is an administrator in the NHS).
Tomorrow she is heading South....................
I noticed the sun going down and the nice yellow sky through the drawn blinds, so nipped out and grabbed a shot just after the sun had dropped below the horizon.
A few minutes later I was forced back out and the yellow changed to pink. It was equally nice out the back.
