The real you
Interesting short portrait session with my friend C. We managed to fit in a couple of hours to come up with something that would say something about her. She does a bit of acting - starring in the short film I was involved with last summer, and they still have the masks from the film, so I thought something with a mask and a mirror. I felt the 'mirror C' didn't quite look like her so used the mirror for the masked C. Interestingly she said she saw herself in the reflected image. Presumably because she is used to seeing the mirror version of herself, while everyone else sees the unreflected version. Does that mean a portrait for an individual would be more recognised as them by them if it is 'flipped' to look like they would look in a mirror?
Back blipped after another St Brides ceilidh. Lots of dancing, even if the band seemed to have the balance between new/unusual dances a little heavy on the new stuff that meant there was a lot of explaining to do, leading to more standing around and less dancing. First ceilidh I've been to that didn't do at least one Gay Gordons.
