Frontier

Walking along the Rochdale Canal towpath, I was asked by a couple heading North whether I had spotted any border police, guarding the frontier between Yorkshire and Greater Manchester, looking-out for refugees fleeing Tier 4.  I said I had not seen any but they were probably well-concealed in the hill fog.

This lockside cottage is right on the border line.  I stayed on the legal side.  I cannot vouch for others.
