The night before

The same swan family are still in residence on Inverleith Pond as in the Spring - just one cygnet for them this year. The park is coated in a thin layer of compacted snow and ice, on top of a layer of frozen mud, with a few massive dirty snowballs dotted about.

The perfect day for a walk with coffee and cardamom buns, popcorn and a movie in front of the fire, and then an extravagant delivered dinner and cocktails so we can pretend that we're really away on holiday (yet to come).

Its already 2021 in Japan, so we've started the (single household) party early! HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone.
