Frozen canal

I wanted to pop to a wool shop in Devizes today to buy a gift voucher for a friend's birthday. Whilst there I saw some lovely wool for me, so treated myself too. I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to use it, but I can enjoy knowing it's there waiting for when I get time.
As we drove over the canal, we noticed it was frozen over, so stopped for a little walk and I took today's photo. The majority is frozen, but there is a small chanel running through that is still moving. I guess this is where the lock gates let a constant trickle of water through.
