Frosty poppy

It was a bright frosty start to the day and I quickly took a few shots in the garden where this poppy was drooping downwards under its frosty coat.  We had a few more hours with our grandson and family and took him for a couple of shorts walks on his trike before they headed home after lunch.

While much of the year has been difficult for us all, we do have our grandson to celebrate and he has brought us all a lot of joy.  Today we are in Tier 3 while the majority of the country is in Tier 4 so I think it will be lots of outdoor walking for exercise, hopefully meeting with one friend  up to  5 friends for some of the walks.  Another reason to celebrate is the amazing effort around the world of getting several effective Covid vaccines in less than a year.  Two of these are now available in this country and rapidly being given to the highest priority cases.
