Hogmanay

Early Seventies, Hogmanay was always a boozy time in the village. Drinks in one of the 5 pubs then to whoever’s house had a party, after the first footing! I used to enjoy it, when I eventually was old enough to go, usually getting a snowball or a babycham! And there would ALWAYS be the singing!

Changed days now. Look at everyone hugging each other (none with their own partners LOL). All great friends and neighbours. This year they would all end up with Covid 3 days later and Bill (top right 3rd in) would have died as he has severe asthma which he did die of 6 years ago. Actually 8 people in this photo are no longer with us!
