This is the first commercial wind farm in NZ. Near the Wairarapa Coast, NZ.

Hau Nui means strong wind in Maori - and it was certainly living up to its name the morning we visited.


The extra photo shows our grandchildren, Sophia & Marcus leaning against the wind and being held up by its strength. It proved great fun with much laughter. Look at Sophia’s hair!
