Balloonplant Flowers and Capsules
If I’d googled hairy green balls I would’ve ID’ed it immediately. Common names are hairy balls, balloon cotton-bush, bishop’s balls, nailhead and swan plant. Monarch butterfly caterpillars feed on it. The flowers are tiny.
Walked with friend K around Tempe wetlands - three ponds reclaimed from another former rubbish tip, now a haven for water birds - then up Wolli Creek, site of the foraging workshop earlier this year.
Thanks for hosting BikerBear.
Have a great weekend everyone.
