Chobham High Street - New Year's Day
A wintry afternoon to welcome the New Year and uncommonly quiet for Chobham High Street. There was sleet in the air but it wasn't quite cold enough for snow. There was a time when children longed for snow as schools would often close and snowmen could then be built, snowballs thrown and toboggans taken to nearby hills. But that was then and nowadays it is no thrill to be off school for days or weeks on end. Time to look forward to a better year ahead.
