Fun from start to finish

A super fun New Year’s Day walk organised by Wilsden Walker. She and M turned up at the meeting point in shorts. A couple of years ago we used to walk on a Saturday morning and there was an ongoing bet to see who would wear shorts for the longest into the Autumn. 

A very slippy path down to the start of the route through Cottingley Woods, and then across Beckfoot golf course where I ended up on my bottom! No harm done except muddy clothes!

Crossing to the St Ives Estate we headed for the picnic area in case anyone wanted coffee or something more. Very icy here again but S and N produced their own tipples to share with us.

A brilliant start to the New Year.
