New beginnings
Looking around the garden in search of a blip, I realised that the daffodils I planted were peeping through the remnants of yesterday’s snow. Felt like a good metaphor for the hopeful new beginnings of a new year.
2020 was challenging, but also many positives. I’m really enjoying my reduced working week, and feeling much more motivated when I am working. It’s been great really getting to know the local footpaths and noticing how they change through the seasons and day by day. And I’m really enjoying returning to study, even if the coursework writing is going slowly.
I’m hoping that 2021 will eventually allow more meeting with friends and family, but until then we’ll be taking it carefully and following the rules.
