Triad South Face
Went out for a hike with two ideas in mind photography-wise: take pictures of beech leaves, and experiment with the fish-eye setting. Took many such photos, only to conclude this more-or-less random shot was probably the best of the day.
Maybe there's lesson in there somewhere beats me.
Did manage to collect a large handful of beech nuts on the way down the mountain though. Masses of them had fallen and been swept down the rocky hillside, essentially winnowing away the husks and leaving the nuts in little piles all down the trail. Collected them at about the same pace as you might pick blueberries.
