What the...?!

A lovely 8 mile walk today, in the sunshine. Managed to let Flo off the lead for a while and she was very well behaved until she saw a squirrel and we nearly lost her!
This monstrosity was on top of a gate post leading to a beautiful old house. I can't begin to imagine what was going through the mind of whoever designed and created it, nor of the person who chose to stick not one but two of them on their gate posts (apologies if it was you )
