Too cold to go out

After a fun, chaotic firework display we were late to bed and late to rise. I missed the New Year concert from Vienna, but found it later on catch up TV. Wonderful music.

The rose is one of the bunch I bought this week that had a damaged stem. I cut it off and placed it in the old oil pot for waifs and strays on the kitchen window sill. 

A ray of hope for the new year when the climate is more favourable.
