According to stats I saw on Blip a few days ago, I calculated that today should be my 600th blip. However on posting yesterday's emergency blip, it appears THAT was actually 600 .... I had something specific planned for today, but have now abandoned the idea I had for when I reach the next centenary blip.

So today I decided to blip this - not a purple planet (though it reminds me of one) , but my Christmas present to myself for 2011. It's a beautiful Amethyst ball. The irregularities in it under certain lights cause gorgeous rainbow effects - I'd planned to blip it at some point, and that point is today
