Hello 2021...
Is it safe to come in?
A quiet start to the new year. We had a long chat with my parents this morning, then a Zoom call with MIL. Then this afternoon I tried to host a watch party with my besties on YouTube - epic fail. Instead, we eventually all queued up the show we wanted to watch and kept a group text going to exchange oohs and aahs. Still lots of fun and the only safe way for five of us to gather in this Covid time.
By the way, if there are any Shakespeare fans out there, I would recommend this production of Macbeth. It was cast and directed by a friend who teaches at the State University of New York, Fredonia, during this academic year while dealing with Covid. The creativity converting what would have been a stage production to something on film, while working with masks, social distancing and school openings and closings is really worth seeing. If interested, here is the link - Macbeth - Fredonia. Worth the watch just for the incredible fight scenes that really must be seen to be appreciated!
I am entering this year with cautious optimism. I know that we still have some dark days to go through, but if we all stay on course, we will get to the other side. So, you know what to do ...
stay safe, be kind.
