Baptistery Window at St Mary's Cathedral, Glasgow

Originally the Baptistery at St Mary's Cathedral, Glasgow was at the west end of the North Aisle. It was moved to the South Transept during the 1990s, however the associated window is still there.

Titled The Sacrament of the Holy Baptism, it has 3 lights (panels). It was given in memory of John Ferguson by his widow and brothers.

* Left light: cleansing of hands; with the inscription: "...WASH AWAY THY SINS"
* Centre light: Dove descending above baptism of a family
* Right light: Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch; with the inscription "AND HE BAPTIZED HIM AND HE WENT ON HIS WAY REJOICING"

The lower inscription reads (although now faded)
"IN MEMORY OF JOHN FERGUSON WHO DIED IN LONDON 9TH OCT 1873 AGED 54, ERECTED BY HIS WIDOW AND BROTHERS"

Finally look at the top of the right light, and see the similarity between the penant and a Pink iPod.
