First and Last

We were orienteering in the Valley of Desolation today and, believe me, in some parts it earned its name! This tree was my first control on my course (I've decided to do an Earthdreamer and carry my small camera with me) and the last one I collected in at the end of the day. What a grand elderly tree standing alone in the pine forest!
