Great Egret

In the extra, a Hooded Merganser. A laid back day, recuperating from staying up till the wee hours of the morning. In the afternoon we went for a drive to see the Trumpeter Swans. They were there, all huddled at the far end of the lake, with heads tucked under their wings. 
This Egret struck a suitable pose for a photo, so he gets to open up 2021 for my journal. Hoping for a good year,  photowise  and otherwise.
