I just wanted to go for a swim!

My camera had hissy fits again this evening. As well as it's occasional white out of photos that I am slowly begin to get used to, it pulled a whole new trick out of the bag. It's now taken to freezing with pretty multicoloured stripes across the screen.

Now that I'm begining to master the macro setting (when my hands are steady) I thought this evening I would try out the sport setting. I didn't have anyone playing sport handy so I used the next best thing, two very excited ferrets. Unfortunately, most of the time they're bouncing around faster than your average olympic runner so most of them still came out a blur.

To get this shot without blur I had to be poised with the camera ready for when he was lifted from the bucket. It seems ferrets are also far slower when they know they've been caught doing something they shouldn't.

The earlier part of the day had been spent washing and re-rolling my woolen dreads for Beltane. I'd stupidly thought it would be safe to leave out the mop bucket, complete with soapy water, while the fuzzies had their play. It wasn't long before Scuzz found it and was attempting to climb in. Yes, he enjoys baths far more than Weasley (we think he's part otter at heart) but bath time in the livingroom would be a very messy affair!
