It was another lovely, crisp and cold day, with nowhere to go, nothing to do.
I went out into the garden to see if I could get some frost photos, and noticed that the hydrangea flowers had gone lacey. I took quite a few photos but it was very difficult to get them into focus so this is my best attempt.
Extra is of the only bud on our very first Christmas rose hellebore, planted optimistically in September. There was also one forlorn little snowdrop shoot next to it, and I spotted a couple of larger bulbs that some creatures had dug out of the ground. I'm hoping that at least some of the bulbs I planted in the autumn will survive and bloom.
